Andrew Wargo III Scholarship
Andrew Wargo III has spent more than 50 years as a farm manager for the Baxter Land Company, where he has helped guide a conservation and stewardship plan that is emulated around the country. He has steered a large row-crop farm, been a part of the catfish business, and managed the farm’s cotton gin. Mr. Wargo grew up in Little Rock, AR, and he received a degree in Agriculture Engineering from Arkansas State University and was a member of the A-State Sport Parachute Team that won the National Collegiate Championships in 1964. Mr. Wargo’s passion for Arkansas State led to him wanting to establish a scholarship for students in the College of Agriculture. His endowment will provide new opportunities for students in Agriculture and wants to support those in the area of study that played such a major role in his career.
