Anna Hettel Scholarship

The Ann Hettel Memorial Scholarship was established by Catherine Cappiello Nowicki in honor of her mother, Ann Hettel, who passed away in August 2017. A native of Corning, Arkansas, Ann graduated from Corning High School in 1940. Although financial circumstances prevented her from attending college, she remained a strong advocate for education throughout her life and later pursued college coursework when opportunities became available.

Recognizing the transformative power of higher education, Ann encouraged others to pursue their educational goals, despite the challenges they might face. In tribute to her lifelong belief in the value of learning, this scholarship was created to assist students from Corning, Arkansas, who wish to pursue a college education.

Through this scholarship, Ann Hettel’s legacy continues to inspire and support future generations of students as they work toward achieving their academic and career aspirations.
