Camfil Farr APC Engineering Scholarship
Camfil, which manufactures pollution control equipment, has designated the gift toward establishing an endowment fund to support a full-tuition, renewable scholarship for an undergraduate mechanical or electrical engineering major. Camfil Air Pollution Control (APC), headquartered in Jonesboro, is one of the top dust collector manufacturing companies worldwide, making equipment for cleaning up manufacturing processes that create dust or fumes.
Camfil Farr regularly employs engineering graduates from Arkansas State, and Tony Supine, Plant Manager, happens to be one of them. “I’m very happy to be a graduate and be able to give back, be part of a team, support Arkansas State, and particularly engineering,” he added, while recalling his own positive experience with the A-State faculty. “They were willing to do whatever they had to do for you to learn and get the education that you were there to get. I myself found that the education in engineering prepared me for just about anything.”
Camfil manufactures equipment and filters at the ISO 9001 certified facilities in Jonesboro; Heywood, England; Laval, Canada; Manchester, England; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Camfil APC has an increasing number of facilities and sales offices worldwide, and regional offices in several U.S. cities.
