Dr. Robert L. Hoskins Memorial Scholarship

Your scholarship was established by the friends and family of Dr. Robert L. Hoskins, who died in July, 1994. Dr. Hoskins was the much-loved and highly respected founding dean of the College of Communications at Arkansas State University, a position he held for 16 years.
After being named dean of Communications at ASU, he helped establish the university’s first masters degree program and coordinated its successful effort to gain national accreditation. Dr. Hoskins became vice president for Academic Affairs at ASU in 1989, where he coordinated a 10-year accreditation review in 1993 by the Commission on Higher Education. At the time of his untimely death, he was still serving as interim President of Arkansas State University.
