Fred Swindle Family Scholarship Endowment in Business

This scholarship was created in 2022 by Mrs. Gena (Swindle) James and Mrs. Martha Swindle, in memory of their father and husband, Mr. Fred Swindle. Mr. Swindle was a US Army Veteran where he was a corporal during the Korean War. He was actively involved in several organizations in Paragould, AR. He was a member of the Rotary Club, Masonic Lodge, Paragould Chamber of Commerce, ASU Foundation Board and a founding board member of the Cheateau on the Ridge. Mr. Swindle was a successful businessman. He purchased National Florist Directory in 1975, where he had worked for 20 years, and began Redbook Florist Services in 1976. He was successful with both businesses and sold them both in 1997. This scholarship was created to assist students in the College of Business who wish to pursue careers in business as Mr. Swindle had done.
