Herbert G. and Mary A. Cole Scholarship

The Herbert G. and Mary A. Cole Scholarship was established by their daughter, Judy L. Cole, in their memory. Her parents- farmers and natives of Bono, AR- went to great lengths to make sure she received a college education, even though she was a self-described “average” student. Judy hopes to help those that don’t always have the highest GPA coming out of high school to realize the importance of getting a college degree. Judy held several jobs after graduating, but eventually retired from American Airlines after over 20 years of service doing a job she loved. She has travelled all over the world to hundreds of countries and has seen all 7 continents which would not have been possible had she not gotten her degree.
