Juanita Provance King Memorial Scholarship

The members of the Malden, MO, High School graduating class of 1952 and surviving children established this scholarship in Juanita King’s memory during their 50th class reunion year. The class desired to give back to Malden by assisting a deserving student pursuing an education at Arkansas State University. Mrs. King began teaching in the Malden School system in 1945 and attended college during summers, graduating from Arkansas State College in 1957 earning her BSE. Mrs. King was the mother of seven and taught mathematics to seventh and eighth grade students in Malden Junior High School for 28 years. She taught for 33 years retiring in 1972.
