Neeley Family Graduate Scholarship in Communication Disorders
This scholarship was established and awarded to the first recipient in 2021. It was created by the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) in honor of Dr. Rick Neely with donations from current students, former students, colleagues and friends. After earning a master’s at A-State in 1976, Neeley worked in private practice for a few years before finishing his doctoral degree at Tennessee in 1987. He returned to Jonesboro and A-State that year, and eventually climbed through faculty ranks to full professor.
