Dr. Kenneth Beadles Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by friends, family, and colleagues of Dr. Kenneth Beadles. Dr. Kenneth Beadles came to Arkansas State University as an assistant professor of Biology in 1965. In 1968 he became Chairman of the Department of Biological Sciences and held that position for 16 years. In 1984, he moved to the position of Dean of the Graduate School and Director of Organized Research until his retirement in 1993. He played a key role in the establishment of the School of Nursing and the Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership, the university’s first doctoral program.
