Lillian Barton Memorial Scholarship

Lillian Barton served the teaching profession for more than 50 years during her lifetime as a public school teacher, school administrator and teacher educator. She served Arkansas State University for 21 years, retiring in 1972. After her death in 1979, her family and friends established this scholarship through Kappa Delta Pi to encourage future leaders, in the spirit of Miss Barton, to follow the example she set in the teaching profession.
