Phil & Mary Esther Hergett Scholarship

The scholarship was established in 1988 by Richard Herget Jr. in honor of his parents, Phil and Mary Esther Herget, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The Hergets returned to Paragould, AR to retire after Mr. Herget?s successful 30-year career as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the U.S. Army. He also served as general counsel for a division of Philco-Ford?s defense industry operations in California. Both Mr. and Mrs. Herget have been active community leaders in Paragould, and the scholarship recognizes potential leadership in award recipients.
