Melvyn and Alice Wetherspoon Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established after the death of Mr. Melvyn Wetherspoon by many friends and family members. His career as an educator and supporter to the church and community is honored through this award. This scholarship offers a Newport High School graduate the opportunity to achieve their personal higher education goals that Mr. Wetherspoon aspired to and provided encouragement to his students.
